History of Moonlight Rollerway
Since 1950
The building is a historic landmark. It was built in 1940 and used for the manufacturing of airplane parts for use in World War II.
Harry Dickerman converted the building in 1950 to “Harry’s Roller Rink.” In 1963, Clifford and Mildred Neschke purchased the building and it became “Moonlight Rollerway.” Dominic Cangelosi took over the operation in 1985 and is the current owner and operator.
Our highlight features are the preservation of the original 1950s architectural design, inside and out. The hardwood maple floor is 75’ by 170’ and is over an inch thick. This floor was installed in 1950 and is still intact, with no nails! The floor is very well maintained, and the rink has a great sound system.
Every Tuesday night, we feature “live organ music for skating” from years past on our Hammond organ. The keys are manned by well-known skating rink organist “Dominic.”

Moonlight Rollerway is the place where Hollywood stars skate and have skating parties, and is the best spot for filming motion pictures and television.
All ages are welcome to come join us! Skating is always a fun time, and it’s a healthy exercise, to boot.
