Moonlight Rollerway's Class Program is designed to enhance the skater's ability to roller-skate and to maximize the skater's ability to have FUN!

CHILDREN'S BEGINNER CLASS
- 12 Years Old & Younger
SATURDAYS: 9 - 10 am
COST: $11.00 (Includes Skate Rental & Morning Session, 10 a.m. - Noon)
 
This class teaches a new skater the basic techniques of roller-skating, which are balance, good posture and safety. These techniques include balancing while standing still, good posture for forward and backward skating, and stopping. This class will also teach the technique of falling and getting up onto your skates.
 
*Promotion from this class moves up to the Intermediate Class.
 
INTERMEDIATE CLASS - Graduation from Beginner Class Required
SATURDAYS: Noon - 12:45 p.m.
COST: $11.00 (Includes Skate Rental & Either Morning Session)
10 a.m. - Noon, or Afternoon Session from 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
 
This class takes the skater to the next level of roller-skating. The skater will learn proper forward and backward stroking, two-foot turns, how to execute edges or curves, basic dance steps, figures and freestyle disciplines. This instruction will prepare the skater to participate in the proficiency test program.
 
Proficiency tests are judged by three commissioned judges and sanctioned by the Roller Skating Association. The proficiency test participant will receive a certificate and a bronze medal upon receiving a passing grade. The skater must be approved by the coaching staff to qualify for this class.
 
*Promotion from this class moves up to the Advanced Class.
 
ADVANCED CLASS - Graduation from Intermediate Class Required
SATURDAYS: 12:45 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
COST: $11.00 (Includes Skate Rental & Either Morning Session)
10 a.m. - Noon or Afternoon Session from 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
 
This class enhances the skater’s ability to perform the higher proficiency tests and competitive skating. Techniques include turn figures, backward dances, full-turn jumps, one-foot spins and advanced footwork. The skater must be approved by the coaching staff to qualify for this class.
 
ADULT CLASS
TUESDAY EVENINGS: 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
COST: $11.00 (Includes Skate Rental & Stay-Over for Evening Session from 8 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.)
 
In this class, the basic fundamentals of roller-skating are taught to the adult skater. Techniques include good posture, balance, starting and stopping, and how to get up safely. Also taught are forward and backward skating, two-foot turns and skating in time to music. Skaters in this class will also learn forward and backward dances.
